August-December 2024 fighting fund appeal
Anti*Capitalist Resistance is here to make a difference.
Every day the news is filled with warning signs of a world heading in the wrong direction. Climate disasters and increasing and votes for far right authoritarian parties are piling up as desperate people get duped by racists and nationalists into backing their dangerous agendas.
ACR is a united initiative of socialists and is our contribution to building a socialist left based on radical theory and open democratic activity. We have a lot of work to do. We need money and members to make a difference. The far right is being funded by billionaires who are helping them spread the politics of hate and fear. We need money to even stand a small chance to counter that and build a world society that can meet human needs and stop environmental disaster.
These are some immediate financial goals before the end of the year:
- We want to increase our staffing so we have more resources for running ACR and strengthening internal operations
- We are helping to organise the next ecosocialism conference in December. Last year’s had 150 people attending, this year the conference has the opportunity want to increase that and launch a network of ecosocialist activists afterwards that can begin to organise actions
- We want to send members to the annual IIRE ecosocialism autumn school to network with other ecosocialists and develop our understanding of the topic
- We are attending the World Congress of the Fourth International next year as a supporter section and need to raise money for the delegation.
