Reproductive rights are under renewed attack from far-right anti-abortion groups in both the UK & the US. They are not isolated—they are part of a wider international reactionary movement advancing a xenophobic, racist, homophobic and ableist agenda. The same forces mobilising against abortion are also targeting trans people, queer communities, disabled people and racialised groups. Well funded organisations like March for Life channel significant resources into large scale demonstrations that promote a coercive, pro-natalist vision rooted in patriarchal control.
They may have money, but we have something stronger: solidarity. We must come together to resist bad faith actors who cloak their attack on bodily autonomy and reproductive rights in religion and claims for “protecting women”. Their authoritarian views reduce our powers to live as we want, forcing us into narrow definitions of what it is to be human. We fight for reproductive justice for all —regardless of age, gender identity, sexuality, race or disability.
Join us on 6th September to counter the UK’s largest anti-abortion demonstration. Bring your voice, your joy, and your solidarity. All are welcome; we need every one to stand up against hatred and show that reproductive rights will not be surrendered. Together, we rise for our freedom to live, choose and resist.
In the run up to the 6th of September we will be organising a series of lead up events so that we can educate ourselves on the importance of bodily autonomy and the freedom to choose as well as prepare for the day.
