An ecosocialist day school discussing the recent heatwaves, the growth of data centres and the urgent need to challenge the far right.

Climate chaos is accelerating. Heatwaves, crop failures and water stress are reshaping global food systems. At the same time, the rapid expansion of energy‑hungry data centres is transforming land use, intensifying resource extraction and deepening corporate control over essential infrastructure. These crises are the interlocking symptoms of capitalism’s ecological breakdown.

As ecological shocks multiply, the far right is seizing the moment: spreading climate denial, fuelling racist scapegoating, and offering authoritarian “solutions” to a crisis they helped create.

This day school will explore the roots of the crisis and different methods of organising against the far right’s dangerous response. Through talks, discussion and practical workshops, we’ll explore how ecosocialism can offer a democratic, anti‑racist alternative capable of meeting the scale of the moment.
