France in revolt – Macron must go

7.30pm – 9.00pm

Macron’s pension reform in France has ignited a revolt not seen for decades. There is overwhelming opposition from across all age groups, including youth and students. Twelve days of strikes have each brought the country to a standstill, and demonstrations regularly attract over 1 million. Macron could not get a majority vote in Parliament, so he pushed it through by decree, inflaming the anger even more. Now he is stepping up police violence against demonstrators and strikers, so far without success.

Join the meeting organised by ACR on Thursday 20 April, 7.30pm, to hear Justine, a militant in Paris of the Anticapitalist Youth (New AntiCapitalist Party). Justine will report on the situation and discuss the perspectives for winning
