Solidarity with the people of Ukraine
AntiCapitalist Resistance Public meeting with Oleksandr Kyselov, member of Sotsialnyi Rukh (Ukrainian Social Movement)
Wednesday 11 November, 7pm Somers Town Community Hall 150 Ossulston Street, NW1 1EE
The all-out war by Russia on Ukraine enters its fifth year. Ukrainians are living under what was the WW2 Blitz in Britain. The invasion of Ukraine by Russia is a blatant imperialist grab for land and resources. It imposes its domination for geostrategic objectives on other countries, just like the US does around the world. Ukrainians are fighting today for their independence and national sovereignty.
They deserve our solidarity regardless of the policies of their government or Western imperialism. AntiCapitalist Resistance is internationalist, supporting people not regimes. Occupation and annexation are a crime, whether it is in Ukraine or Palestine.
Come to the meeting to discuss: • What are Russian imperialist objectives? • Why is the West backing Ukraine? • What is the Zelenski government? • What sort of peace is possible? • Do Ukrainians still support the war? • The left and the unions in Ukraine. • Internationalism versus campism.
