ACR mistakenly posted in December 2024 an article that was five years old from +972 Magazine, which gave rise to a confused debate about the shifts in Israeli state and far-right strategy following the current intensification of the genocide in Gaza.

This article is over five years old (a fact which is not immediately obvious), and I do wonder how it adds to our understanding of the current situation.
Also what it says about ACR’s take on what is going on *now*.
Apologies for the stupid oversight that did not make that clear. It has been amended now. The analysis of the Israeli right is still relevant. We do need to take seriously how the Israeli state deliberately sabotages any meaningful peace process, wants to make it seem like their real ‘enemy’ is their own ideologically constructed ‘Islamic fundamentalism’ (as a mirror image of their own genocidal militaristic Zionism), and systematically murders anyone who might be willing or able to engage in negotiations. In this context, now, anyone who seems in Israel’s eyes to be ‘moderate’ is viewed as a threat. This is the logic of apartheid and Zionist military strategy.
