ACR is excited to report that we are sending a delegation of at least eight comrades to the Fourth International (FI) youth camp in Belgium at the end of July. This will be the fortieth camp the FI has organized. Generations of activists across Europe and some from beyond have enjoyed intense political discussions as well as having fun!
This will be the first substantial group from Cymru and England that has gone to the camp for decades. This is a great way of celebrating and building on the fact that ACR is now part of a confederal section of the FI across Cymru, England and Scotland. It is also an important opportunity to be part of a revolutionary, international youth movement.
However, many of the comrades we are sending are unwaged or in low waged jobs. The cost of sending these comrades is around £3000 including travel to Belgium and the camp admission. In addition, through one of our comrades who is Romanian we have linked up with two activists from that country who are coming to the camp for the first time and need support.
With the contributions of the comrades attending and an earlier fund appeal we have raised £2000 so far, and so we are making this further appeal hoping to raise another £1000 or more. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed.
